REPRODUCTION IN ORGANISMS.  part 1.
REPRODUCTION- biological process in which an organism  gives rise to young ones.
LIFE SPAN -  period from birth to death of an organism.

ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION-- off spring produced from a singe parent with out involvement of gamete formation
SEXUAL REPRODUCTION -  offprings produced by the fuion of male and female gametes.

CLONE --Morphlogically and geneticaly identical offsprings produced as a result of asexual reprodduction.

METHODS OF ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION
 1. CELL DIVISION -PROTISTA, MONERA
      BINARY FISSION.... cell divides in to two halves   eg  AMOEBA , PARAMOECIUM
2. BUDDING-..Unequal cell division which produces small duds attached to the parent cell  ;gets seperated and gives rise to new organism.
3 .ZOOSPORES- Motile and microscopic  spores seen in algae and fungi.eg chlamydomonas.
4. CONIDIA-- Penicillium
5. BUD ...hydra
6. GEMMULES --sponge

VEGETATIVE PROPAGATION ---asexual reproduction in plants.
1. RHIZOME --ginger
2. TUBER ..potato
3. BULB . onion
4. BULBIL ..agave
5. LEAF BUDS ... bryophyllum 
6OFFSET --water hyacinth 

TERROR OF BENGAL  . Excessive.growth of vegetatively propagating water hyacinth   drains of oxygen from water  bodies which leads to death of fishes .
